As long as the (F)-(G) terminals are connected together it should work fine and be all that is necessary. In the previous versions of the three brush generator that connection is made internally. Adding a wire tying those terminals to the grounded base of the cutout would certainly not hurt anything, and I would not hesitate to do so. It would help to insure the integrity of of the ground connection between those points.
