Donít use wire colors to trace wiring. There was no white wire in the original wiring harness. A clicking solenoid usually means the battery is weak or dead. Get it tested at a shop. Use you diagrams to verify wiring while battery is being tested. The starter motor is wired the same on both the early and the later 8N.
