Like Dean said, ground speed not geared slow enough on a standard N to run a tiller. Years ago there was the HOWRAD Gear Reduction unit with the Howard Rotovator -SEE LINK - that was a rear mounted tiller for the N. there are few still around but parts no longer available. Ford/Dearborn also offered the Rotary Hoe -SEE MORE IN MANUALS FORUM. The N was/is a little workhorse of a machine and does well in small gardens as well as large acreage fields. You can use a 2-bottom plow to break garden or old sod up, then disc it, then cultivate it to plant. Once soil has been worked, you don't need to plow it every year. You can use the disc harrow to bury trash or a Rotary Hoe. Work the garden/fields every spring and every fall after that. Don't have a disc or plow? Maybe a neighbor does you can borrow or hire out to do the work.
