Just remember when you hand crank an engine you pull up on the crank, never down and never try to roll it over. I've been cranking tractors since I was 9 years old and I have not been hurt doing it yet.

The brush guard was an accesory so you will have to make your hand crank or find one from something else that will work. Most Farmall cranks will work or the jack handle from a Mazda will work also. Used my daughters once on my 9N LOL.
