Minimum Wage

Yesterday my son Mike and grandson came over to watch the eclipse (Man that was cool)
Mike said he wanted to treat us to lunch with takeout from our local Tastee-Freez restaurant, We had 2 burgers, 1 hotdog, 3 fries,3 milkshakes. It was a nice treat !
In small talk I asks Mike what did this cost - "$51.00 " I almost fell out of my chair !! I rarely eat out and when I do the wife usually buys it so I guess I'm a little out of touch !
This is all because of the jacked up Minimum wage IMO, Where did they think the added wages were going to come from ?
I told Mike next time we'll buy a pack of dogs and buns and cook them on the grill.
