Our spender in chief, would like to have a carbon tax on heating oil and gas, but not in an area where they have good support at the polls. Meanwhile our exports of coal to China have increased 80% since 018. I think we should have used more natural gas to transition from coal, but the greenies shot down all natural gas plans.
The greenies also protested a the new Site C dam project. Said we did not need the E power. BC Hydro is having to buy power to meet demand. Will be hard to go electric, if we do not have enough electricity. I noticed the ban the gas cookers idea is dead.
Singapore is using coal to refine lithium. That create s more pollution than the lithium batteries are supposed to save. What I would like is for the greenies and the politicians, to talk with the industry folks, and the realists, to work on a sensible plan. Meanwhile, Shirley and I will not be making any changes.
I have offered to test ride a new CanAm E motorcycle. But no reply so far.
