Happening up here too.
We are against most everything, which includes pipelines, oil transport by ships, freighter anchorage, tree cutting and so much more.

What we are in favour of is plastic products like kayaks, and driving cages to protest meetings and the grocery store. We currently have a larger than normal backlog of ships that need to sit at anchor. Most are here to pick up grain. But the grain shipments by train from the flat lands to the coast, are being held up, because gas and oil is being shipped by train as well. If we had the extra capacity of the gas and oil pipelines, the grain would move more freely and the ships would not be at anchor, and we could take down the protest signs.

One of the new pipelines will twin an existing line. So there will be no new ground to unsettle.
Forgot to mention. We are also against higher gas prices, but they are going up because they can not get enough oil delivered to the refinery. This could take a while.
One of the best catcha 22 merry go rounds we have had for a while.

The average dipstick can not see the link between the ever increasing number of vehicles, needing more oil. I am doing my part by not driving the belch mobile.

The vehicle fuel we use gets to the islands by boat.
