US coal consumption is going down, as gas and even wind power are cheaper.
England banned coal burning in many towns and cities, sometime during the 80s and 90s.
US coal is shipped from a BC port. Seattle will not ship it.
The Loonie left is the party in power in BC, but only with the help of 3 Green party members. The Green party gets to hold the rest of BC and the Feds at ransom.
Shipping US coal is a real pain in the butt to the Greens. A Federally approved pipeline from Alberta to BC is being held up by the Loonie Left to appease the Greens. It will not last IMO.
We are all for driving cages in ever increasing numbers, but are against the production of fuel to power them. We buy cheap junk from China, but are against marine traffic in our waters.
On my Island we are mostly against everything.
Over on the mainland at Shirley's place, I can here the trains during the night.
