The Constitution is the fundamental LAW of the land. It does not live or breathe, but does have a very rigid set of LAWS governing its change. It amazes me that politicians can say the Constitution lives and breathes and at whim can be interpreted to mean something other than what it explicitly says, other laws, let me see if I can think of one, oh yes, the Affordable Care Act, does not live and breathe and must remain as is (in their interpretation).
In my career I worked for one company that had a motto: All rules apply except for when they don't.
Maybe that should be the mantra of a political party the next go around. You think?
