Stimulus?

Why does Mr. Biden & Co. insist on calling these GUB checks the "Corona Virus Stimulus Check" when it is contrary to what a stimulus actually is. Like with Bush and his $500 per/taxpayer check when the economy took a dump in 2007, a 'stimulus' is meant to help keep people afloat til the economy picks back up and they can go back to work. Now many folks have enjoyed not having to go to work and for some actually earning more with their unemployment and GUB handout checks, the only STIMULOS now is for them to continue expecting GUB freebies. C'mon, Man!
