Oh! A Caravan. Yeah, 3500# is a bit much for those toys. I am just not much impressed with the older V-6 and towing much of anything behind that to boot. I suspect the google search is going to be your friend, especially on reliability reports.
2,000# behind your Caravan is already enough.
I have looked briefly at 1/2 ton trucks. I like overkill and about the same money to step into a 3/4 ton. Look around, You can find a straight 6 (4.9) in an F150.
