New laundry machines are the absolute best ones ever designed. The use much less water and really beat your clothes to death. Somewhat similar to hanging the rug outside and beating on it to get the dust out. If your lucky enough to get a front loading machine you will enjoy the lass water usage because the front seals are known for leaks and this way you get less water on the floor.
Yeah, her old machine just got fixed when the agitator cogs wore out. The dryer is not much more than an electric motor spinning a belt on a drum with a heater element.
It will get fixed when it needs it.
