Glad you chimed in.
I do have a 93 Ranger with a V6 and automatic which would have lots of power.
I was thinking I could find a high revving 4 cyl from something fairly common.
There were a lot of guys racing 4cyl Toyota motors 20 or more years ago so I was hoping that Toyota still made a 4 cyl. Lotus had a 907 that would rev to 10 grand, or maybe a big motorcycle motor would work.
You are right about getting all the electronics and wiring connectors to make it work.
I also need to figure out a fuel system as MG has external fuel pumps while most fuel injection has a pump in the tank.
