Yup. As a lifelong Michigander, I have seen many variations in our weather. There were Thankgivings with deep snow and warm Christmases and we had 72* on a Thanksgiving and pitched horseshoes in our shirt sleeves.
St.Patricks day has caught me several times. Snow storm, 5 hours to go 130 miles to Mount Pleasaant, headed for Marquette, and got rear-ended.
Another St. Patricks, 1973, 12" on the ground and blistering blizard, 250 miles to Cincinatti, 9 hours in a rented motorhome with wife, mother and 3 small kids.
We had 20" of snow in December, 1974. I managed a 1000 apartment project and I plowed all night trying to keep streets open. I had sent my ground crew home the day before and they could not get back. Public streets not opened for 2 days.
