The low prices will hurt the economy -there has to be some give and take. I was watching the old 1977 Burt Reynolds/Sally Field movie "Smokey & The Bandit" the other night and noticed a gas station scene with diesel fuel posted at 48 cents/gallon. That would mean regular gas was at 70/80 cents/gallon -diesel was always cheaper than regular gas back then. We are headed for those kind of prices if this economy doesn't get back to work. There were a few stations around Detroit with .99/gallon prices listed this past week. America needs to get back to, wants to get back work. In three years President Trump took the US to the best economy it had seen in 50 years and now the unnecessary state lockdowns and layoffs have undone what he did. March unemployment numbers released this week show 4.5% but that number is surely higher and will go higher if this continues.
