Great photo, Dan. Love all the muzzle loaders. Grew up in the big city so had no hunting experience, but we always had a couple of pistols in the house, loaded and within reach. Dad would let me unload, clean, and reload then if I asked to. Didn't have much money to spend on ammo, but we did get to shoot some, especially when my Uncle came home with a new gun, which was not a rare thing!
I remember when my Uncle came over with a new Ruger single action .22, he handed it to me (I was 8 or 9] I put it on half cock, opened the loading gate, revolved the cylinder to make sure it was not loaded. My Uncle laughed, turned to my Dad and said " I've showed that gun to five guys and he is the only one that knew how to operate it". Made me glad I had watched all those TV westerns!
