Took apart another old Smith and Wesson revolver today. Soaked it in some mineral spirits for a while then started scrubbing and cleaning.
Found a small pin (about 1/2" long) that did not look familiar. I continued on the whole time wondering where this pin came from or what its purpose was.
Got everything cleaned and oil and the gun reassembled. It functions just fine and yet I have this "extra" pin. Then it struck me, that is not a pin its the "nib" or point from a ball point pen! How it got inside a gun is beyond me but sure had me wondering for a while.
What did you do for fun today?
