The reason I mentioned bearings in my second post:
I told the guy in the bearing shop I did not want cheap Chinese. The bearings were for the front wheel of one of my bikes. Told him, US, Canada, Japan, Germany or England. So he sourced some US bearings for me. They lasted about 18 months. Usually bike wheel bearings last many years. Further research revealed the US company was getting their bearings made in China. They hid that fact really well.
Sometimes when we know the price is too high, as in the German made heaters, the time will come when someone will build and sell for less. Same thing happened with inverters for boats.
China needs money to pay for the US coal shipped from BC Canada, and to pay for the dock space for their boats. One of them is called Bum Young which always cracks me up.
