I remember when my parents bought a new 1957 Hillman. First run down the motorway, and it stopped dead. Mechanic fixed it PDQ. Condenser quit. On my 53 Bentley, sitting right next to the condenser, was a spare condenser. So RR thought it was a critical part. I would replace the condenser first, as they cost about the same as a hair cut. And then the coil if it is not fexid proppa.
If I was a modern youth, I would ask, wots a condenser. Be a good idea to check all connections. My XS1100 failed to proceed last week. Was poor contact where the wyres plug in to the idiot box. Ignition module.
