I got an e-mail response from "Nebraska Cowboy". He has experienced some damage at a a lake cabin but not where he lives.
As to weather records, they run in cycles. My parents swore that 1943 (year I was born) was the coldest winter they could remember. I can remeber some cold ones and some with lots of snow. I've lived within a 10 mile diameter circle all my life.
Now, I seem to remember from school books that the earth has had several (4?) ice ages. There is also indications that this part if Michigan has experienced tropical weather temperatures with the associated plant and animal life. So, are we in the middle of going from an ice age to a tropics?
Did the dooms dayers miss those classes? (honestly, I think they missed a lot of classes) They went to the same school that taught about all 57 states, protected by corpses and believes there should be no boarders.
