I listened to him on WJR today from a talk he gave in 2017 to Frank Beckman when he was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for his heroics in Vietnam in 1967 as a chopper pilot. He detailed the event of rescuing 40 some American soldiers pinned downed in a firefight that began at 0900 and ended at 1900. US Army Lt. Colonel Kettles was a true American hero and may God Bless his soul.
