I’ve used CENTURY SPRINGS a few times; they usually carry a stock part I need. They have some 2” ID springs, but note that the smallest wire diameter part is .078”, or 2mm. From there the wire diameter increases substantially going up to 1.0” and over. That’s a pretty HD spring and would take a heck of lot of force/load to compress. Even a 2mm wire diameter is going to be robust. You can also try WB Jones and Michigan Spring Steel Co. There are alternative materials as well -plastic, copper, brass, bronze, and others.
