If you go to YTMag and look on the left side of the home page you'll see a link for "hauling schedule".
You can run a free ad or search by state for other ads.
I have used it twice. Once to get a plow hauled to the Twin Cities from Nebraska and once I was heading south to TX to pick up a tractor I bought. I hauled a big Detroit diesel to St. Joseph, MO on my way down for $140.
Lots of ads similar to those there where a guy is going one way empty and just wants some gas money.
There are some professional haulers there too who are just wanting to fill a load.
It helps if you're not in a big hurry. No guarantee you'll find a hauler but it is worth checking out.
