Have had the HP help folks working on it. They think it is a problem with windows 10, and not related to the photo app. On Thursday we will do a complete back up and reload. Stay tuned. Have done all kinds of diagnostic tests.
This is my small travelling computer, not the main unit sitting on my desk at the Island place.
