The first suggestion would be to include some basic information such as what program you're using to view the pictures, and which version of Windows you're using. I'll assume you're running Windows 10 and using a built-in Microsoft photo viewer.

Since you moved pictures from a drive (the phone) and that drive no longer exists when the phone isn't plugged in, chances are whatever program you're using is still trying to reference that drive. If it's an Office or Microsoft product, it will probably be using the OIScatalog.cag file that is in your profile. To fix it, do the following:

1. Find file OIScatalog.cag that is in your Profile path C:\Users\%YourProfile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\OIS
2. Open the OIScatalog.cag file (with notepad) and look for lines that start with 3. Delete any paths that no longer exist

Hint-For those of you that aren't computer savvy, the MRU path is the Most Recently Used path that Microsoft picture managers use.

If you prefer not to edit the file, simply delete it. The picture management software will recreate it when it starts up again.
