I hadn't seen much about the damages along the path of Hurricane Michael but on our holiday trip down there we got to see at least a small glimpse of the extent of damages on an east to west slice of the path. We drove the stretch of I-10 from Tallahassee on west to Destin. That's a fair distance and the tree damage was extensive most of the way. Not all the way but for the most part the trees were either blown over or snapped off. Something like 85 to 95% of all the trees were destroyed. There would have been no place to hide if you were an animal in those areas. So sad to see on top of knowing what all damage to property and buildings in the path.
