A closer look at the first picture you can see the top of what is the remaining part of the Ford B-24 bomber plant at Willow Run. Just under the wing to the left of the fuselage is the south facing east door (there is a second door to the west) that B-24s exited assembly to the apron and movement to the hanger (not visible to the left) for placement of the armaments. This is the saved area of the bomber plant and is being refurbished to become the "new" Yankee Air Museum.
After the war, the hanger became the passenger terminal until Detroit Metro took over. It is curently the hanger for YAM (Yankee Air Museum) flyable aircraft and the maintaine nce of them.
