Yes, I tried a couple of times to adjust the rod so it would go down further. The first time it helped in that it took longer inbetween the pump cycles, but the pump still kicks in. Most noticeable at night when things are quiet. I know it is the hydrant as I can shut off the line to the barn and the pump does not kick in. I'm hopeing some one has had this problem and can give me suggestions so I don't break something down below.
