Yes, familiar with NC, mostly Davidson, Concord and Boone. Live in FL and have done so for 40 years, love it. Also familiar with Myrtle beach as my NC connections have tendencies to beach there. Today been perusing snow photos from NC grandkids. Schools closed 3 days for 3" of snow. Parents had to use vacation days to care for them. I have seen over 8" in Dec, Jan and Mar in Davidson. I also took the grandkids to Carowinds early one Aug, 109 degrees. I'm in FL and will be staying here. Many folks I have met in NC are halfbacks, they moved south to an area that as unsuitable to them, they missed snow and moved half way back. Moving like that costs cash, you need to spend time visiting and researching all options and find the place that suits your needs best. Asking questions here is just a prelim start.
