In general, I think prices decline on older items as we age due to less interest.

Younger generations usually are not attracted to items which appealed to us, our fathers, or our grandfathers.

"Car guys" generally are interested in what was popular as they were growing up.

Take a look at the current interest in brass-era cars, model T's & A's, and see what age group is buying them.

Street-rodding is on the decline as the population ages. ....Interest in muscle cars of the '60's & early '70's has replaced most interest in '30-'50 vehicles.

Of course there are always exceptions, but this is the way I have seen automotive trends.

We have also seen this trend with "N" tractors in the past few years.
