Well I use both, Wood boiler floor heat in my shop (My own design) and burn or did burn wood pellets in the old house for 15-20 years, Pellets are nice that you fill the hopper and walk away for up to 8-12 hours depending on your stove and outside temp.
Back when corn went for $80.00 a ton I use to mix 50/50 mix with pellets. It was a real good deal til Ethanol came along and corn shot up to $300.00 a ton ! , You know the same corn they feed live stock?? Remember what a good steak "Use To Cost" Ya lets not go there.
My understanding about outside boilers is a lot of townships are outlawing them, Turns out some of these boilers are so efficient that they cool the exhaust so much that the smoke will come back down and hover on the ground like fog ?
