I have set up a couple of these with my sons and not impressed. They are pretty directional and unless you live fairly close to the signal sources they are limited to the strongest ones. We tried to put them on windows and that improved it, but they can be blocked by someone walking near them. A newer amplified indoor version seems to work well for my one son and again it is mounted to the window with suction cups. I use a medium range Yagi with a rotator that is mounted on a mast above the roof. Even then it is marginal with some stations that are about 40 miles away unless I point right at the station location. I gave up on cable and satellite a long time ago.
