I bought a Dewalt 18v combo package 2 years ago, drill, grinder and screw gun. I have been very happy with it so far. The batteries conked out 2 weeks ago, so I went to where I bought it(Lowes) and found some batteries. When I told the rep in the tool department that I was no satisfied with the original batteries that I thought they should last more that just 2 years. He said that the original batteries the (Black ones)that came with the set are indeed inferior batteries and the yellow ones I was getting for $99.00 for two, were much better batteries and should last a long time. He said to charge the batteries for just 1 hour and then to remove them from the charger, so I will try that on the new batteries. hth Roby
