I have an older 1/2" (13MM) 18V CORDLESS Dewalt XRP HAMMERDRILL/DRILL/DRIVER . It has been nice. lost the brake on it though. Not sure what failed but replaced the switch and still no brake. This drill cost some pesos but it has been a good drill for several years now.

My son gave me a DEWALT 18-Volt Nickel Cadmium (NiCd) 1/2-in Cordless Drill that I don't like so much. It shoots out some fine dust out of a hole on top of the handle when you use it and it can shoot it into your eyes. It smells too like ozone when it runs. The batteries are both bad so they don't take a good charge. Not my favorite tool. I'd have to recommend staying away from the cheaper models in the Dewalt line.
