If the valve stem has disappeared, and it is still holding air, then it has to have a tube in there. In my experience, the stem gets destroyed when this happens. It may be that the air is gone and the stiffness of the tire is holing it up. My 9N will do that. If it is still holding air, you probably will have to poke a hole in it, thru the valve stem hole, to get it to collapse so you can put a new tube in it. I am worried about this happening to the 9N since I powdercoated the rims. If I let the air out, the beads will unseat themselves. I am a little leery of getting into a hard pull.
