Having lived my 74 years within 8 miles of Willow Run, there are a lot of tales to be told about the war years and activities since. As we get older it is unfortunate that many of the stories are unknown to many younger people who also have lived here all their lives. Many don't even know the facility existed or that it has been torn down except for the area where the planes exited the hanger doors to the airport apron.
What would be interesting to me and maybe to others is a single book that lists by state and city the facilities that were producing equipment and materials for WW2. It may exist somewhere already, I just have not looked for it.
