Pretty much hit us from 0700 yesterday until 0700 this morning here in Hooterville. Winds got up to 68 mph at times. My house faces the west and I look out over a 1/2 square mile corn/bean/wheat field so I get the brunt of severe weather. I lost many shingles on my roof, mostly the crown across the top VEE of the roof, and it will be a few days before they send out a roofer to repair. Temps have dropped back to the 30's and will stay as such for the next several days and snow is in the forecast so no immediate danger of rain getting into house. I went to town this morning and across the main road saw huge maple, jack pines, and oaks pulled out of the ground and power Tee-Poles leaning against houses so many have it worse. We never lost power yesterday, only flickered a few times. This is unusual because in our county, when God farts, we almost always lose power.
