I couldn't find a tag on it but will check again today, I could have missed it or been painted over. Can't see much without a pair of glasses on these days. I did look at all the cordwood saw manuals in the manual section and maybe it was originally bought or used on an 8n with position control and didn't come with or need that leg. I did notice on the photo you posted there is no leg but then again it's mounted to an 8n with position control. A friend of mine has the dearborn saw and has the leg but it's mount on his '41 9n.
