Bruce-
This question may never have a definitive answer. Ford engineered the componenets. Outside vendors supplied a lot of them. From the list you started, here are some I know of: NOVI governors; United and Donaldson air cleaners, HH on 8Ns FRAM supplied the oil filters; we think SHELLER made the 4-spoke steering wheel; wheels, front and rear, were made by Kelsey-Hayes - later the Budd Co., tires were made by Ford, Firestone, and Goodyear; gauges made by Stewart-Warner; MANZEL supplied some axles, some steel forgings, and tools; Moore supplied some tools; McKaig-Hatch supplied some tools; Harold Tool supplied some tools; Alemite, APO, and Lincoln supplied grease guns; TIMKEN supplied tapered roller bearings, races, and such; and lights were supplied by C.M. Hall Lamp Co., TAURUS, and Ford. These are just a few I can think of off hand and doesn't go into the implement suppliers at all. That is a for another thread as the only implement Ford actually made in production was the early 2-bottom plow. Though Ford Engineering designed most of the implements, the actual manufacturers were companies already established as farm machinery builders or capable of producing the specific components as drawn and meeting production volume numbers required. This might be cool to see what we can all come up with then move this info to the HISTORY forum...
