Both the 8N-541-A and 541-B are 5/8-24 thd 1.44 long. This special rolled thread continued into the 60's, at least. The NAA mating part, the yoke NAA-546-A is 5/8-24. Looking at 9N yokes, 9N-546-A is 5/8-18, 9N-546-B is 5/8-32, and 9N-546-C is 5/8-24. The 5/8-24 tap was special, with pitch diameter .5938-.5970.
