Shop Safety
Keep a first aid kit handy
Keep fire extingushers Handy
Store oily rags in a sealed metal container
Wear safety glasses
When working with grinders and wire wheels
Always wear a face shield
Use the proper tool to do the job
Weare gloves when ever possible
Use appropiate protection when welding or
burning, (Leather gloves, Welding helmit,
burning gogles, heavy shirt or jacket )
When working with jacks place aditional cribing
under lifts
Read safety notices on paint and solvent
containers, also cleaners and lubricants
Dont let work areas get too cluttered
Keep walk areas picked up (No tripping hazards)
Keep tools clean
Don't leave lifts hanging. Set them down or
block them up
Use good lighting
Do not wear loose clothing around moving machinery
Do not use cinder blocks for blocking
