The OEM Ford 8N-15500 Implement Lamp used a socket with a bayonet style bulb soldered onto the reflector. It fastened into the socket and all metal contacts were your ground -remember POSITIVE GROUND meant any metal surface was ground. It was all part of the 6V/POS GRN system. You only needed one wire to power it. The worklight had the special frosted lamp or dimpled lens lamp. The shell had an ON/OFF switch on the back, the socket inside with one wire to one switch connector and the other switch terminal wire (power) going thru the hollow mounting bolt to the light harness. If you have a newer sealed beam lamp, you will have to get creative and run some separate wires inside, one to a ground. If you have a CM HALL made lamp, the mounting bolt is secured with a holding strip screwed on. You can use that to ground. The only other supplier was FORD and they did not have the bolt holding strip. Carpenter sells all the parts for the work lamp including exact repoops of the entire assembly.
