Oil leak by front of 2N engine

My 2N sprays oil by the front on the engine. I don't think it's spraying the oil out, but rather a slow leak which hits the pulley or fan belt and gets thrown out.
The oil lands on the front of the governor, on the alternator (converted), on the hood and a bit seems to go everywhere in the front...

Does anyone know what the cause commonly is, and the best remedy?
