Hi, Update on the distributor problem. After a couple weeks of cranking and even tried starting fluid, not even a pop a consideration of combustion. I decided to pull the front timing cover as even if I got it to run It would probably destroy the new distributor with the wobble on the distributor. I pulled the governor and saw a minor amount of aluminum shavings and then decided to pull it down. I got the cover off and Thankfully the crankshaft nut was not welded as suspected but some weld work on pulley? I was able to take out the nut but not remove it with the front of the tractor on. For some reason someone has used and epoxy or adhesive on the crank pull shaft and I am soaking that with penetrating oil. Pulley would not budge. Tomorrow I will pull front of tractor away and hopefully remove the pulley. The pulley is labeled as a replacement part with chalk for 8n but I think they were all the same. My idea is that someone bent the timing gear, probably either putting the governor back on and in addition did not line up the timing marks correctly. I am not sure if the timing gear could cause the wobble at the end of the camshaft or perhaps that is bent also. Will post when I find out . Thank you much for the feed back.
