I work a second job for a contractor at the Mercedes car plant down the road from my house. In one section of the building, they have six of those, in a row, with matching lathes big enough to turn stock six inches wide and seven or eight feet long. They let me walk though and look at it... They just set up one milling machine that uses a CAD program...you design whatever it is you want on the computer, then put the stock in the milling machine, fill the oil container, press "enter," and come back in an hour to pick up the finished piece.
And I know all about the deals with the wife. I got an 8n, she got a camper...
