Like someone above stated, I really don't think you can buy a cheapie welder from across the pond or anywhere else for that little money, particularly a new one. You could luck out and find one of those used cheap machines on Craigslist, but I'd shy away from such.

Don't be afraid to bite the bullet and buy yourself one of the top three MIG welders, which are very simple to use, even for the novice, provided you have a fairly steady hand and can write your name legibly in script: Miller, Hobart or Lincoln - buy one of these and you'll never regret it, and you'll more likely than not have few if any problems with these machines. To get the better and higher amp machine which will operate on 110 or 220, you'll have to spend about a grand more than your posted budget of two hundred bucks, but you'll be glad you did in the end.

Though I've used an old Millermatic 35 for over 25 years, just this past spring I bought a small Millermatic 211 Auto-Adjust, on sale over the I-net for around $1100 and this machine is simply the best welder ever made in my opinion.

It really doesn't make any difference whether you're welding on an old 8N Ford tractor, a thin piece of tin or a heavy piece of iron, you need a dependable machine that will do the job time after time without fail if you're going to do the work yourself.
