Thanks everyone for your help. It looks like I have the corrrect generators for both my 41 and 44 except for that slot in the mounting bracket which I can probably rectify. I found both of those generators at swap meets. One in Florida and the other in Ohio. So they will be going on Wisconsin tractors. :o)
I am happy with how easy it is to adjust the third brush on this generator so my battery is going to like it. After I replaced a bad condenser, my 6 volt system starts up at the touch of the starter button even after it has sat for a month.
