Check with the guy about what he actually did! If he align bored it with a new bearing cap assembly then you may just have a small problem like a clogged oil line to the gage, or the gage's input is clogged from some small debris. But until you know for certain what he did there is no clear solution to the problem and you will just spin your wheels figuratively.
