OK, it is after all your tractor and your $$$ so you can do what you want. I have to ask what is wrong with the OEM-type switch? The Ignition Switch doesn't care if system is 6V or 12V so that part is irrelevant. I've NEVER had the problem you say you have with the ignition key slipping to the OFF position with or without extra weight from your jail-house key set. Maybe you have bought those cheap, vinyl covered wire units, Cheena made junkers, but I've had the OEM type in numerous tractors and NONE have had this issue plus are not easily capable of turning OFF on their own. Just saying.
