How to get a stuck breaker plate out of distributor?

I'm converting my 8n to electronic ignition. I have the distributor on my desk, but PB Blaster, heat, pliers and strong language have so far not gotten the breaker plate to come out of the housing.

I've removed the bolt on the side that holds the plate for timing. I've removed the spring clip.

Is there a technique to release metals that have been in love for seventy years and don't want to part?
